Set with a backdrop of golden skull on covering the entire wall of one side. It’s exquisite. Noble Experiment is an atmospheric speakeasy hidden within a casual East Village pub called Neighborhood. this snug cocktail lounge might be mistaken for an upscale lobby bar with soaring wood-paneled walls, chandeliers, and a ceiling adorned with ornately framed oil paintings. Skip the small menu of classics and ask the barkeep to whip you up something crafty. Don’t go with more than you and one other person, cuz there isn’t the space for it. We’re not saying how you get in either.
One great part of the experience extends beyond the upfront intimacy and hospitality – it was actually in the drink taking process. The bartender asks you a series of questions to make a just-for-you cocktail based on your answers. Cool concept and high quality drinks. Know that with the custom and intimate nature of the place, it is very small so it’s limited reservations and even more limited for walk-ins.
Enjoy a few drinks, and then head to eat in the rest of the restaurant. Just don’t be the person taking all the space all night.
