High Bar

This bougie cocktail bar is located on the top floor of the Kimpton Rowan in Palm Springs. The hotel is the tallest building in downtown, making for some very killer views of the city and nearby art activations. The High Bar is also gorgeously decorated with a large pool, cabana style seating and a bar that takes up the far half of the roof. They also have a number of misters and umbrellas scattered across the roof to help keep you cool.

Our group visited for a round of cocktails after dining downstairs at Juniper Table. My friends all ordered the adult popsicles while I sipped on the Rumble Tumble – aka the most beautifully crafted cocktail with an ombré of purple and orange. This rum, pineapple, and coconut beverage was the perfect choice for a summer splurge. There are a number of seats for bar visitors, but sadly the pool is solely for hotel guests. This was definitely a bummer during our 110+ degree visit.

City and mountain views abound at the Coachella Valley’s only rooftop pool bar, which sits seven stories up, at the top of downtown’s the Rowan hotel. It’s open to the public daily until 8 p.m. with bar, table, and comfy couch seating, plus lots of refreshers utilizing fresh juices and house-made syrups for poolside sipping. Try the Veveno, a tequila-mezcal-and-guava-syrup concoction. There’s also a lunch menu heavy on dips, salads, and wraps.
